New zooarchaeological research in Madeira

Recently the BB-lab has been expanding its zooarchaeological research. In February Camille Lacorne started a PhD project focused on postmedieval animal remains from Madeira (Portugal) under the supervision of prof. Snoeck and Dr. Gruwier. In April the team made a first visit to the island to collect samples for isotope analysis and to strengthen collaborations with local institutions. While taking samples on some pig, goat and cattle remains our researchers were enjoying the view from our host’s garden.
